First Gourd!

STEM Teacher, Mrs. Beesley, harvested the first gourd this morning.  The vine had started to wither so we figured it was time.  The 2nd graders also harvested more radishes and planted radish, turnip and bean seeds.

We said we would post a photo of the ‘Evening Sun’ sunflower.  It isn’t a great shot but you can see the shade of this gorgeous variety.

Northern Mockingbird eggs April 2015. They prefer to nest in shrubbery so check around your neighborhood.

I am going to try to pay attention to the spring. I am going to look around at all the flowers, and look up at the hectic trees. I am going to close my eyes and listen.
